Study On The Action Logic Of Constructing Urban Community Public Space Under Cooperative Governance Perspective

Urban community is the basic element of a city and the community for all the citizens. Community participation is the essential characteristic and inevitable requirement for community governance, however, lack of participation in the process of community constructing nowadays severely hinders the construction and development of communities. This lack of participation is mainly caused by the absence of public consciousness of community residents superficially, but the administrative power into the space of community participation in essentially. Therefore, we need to rediscover the "community", and we need to reconstruct the urban community public space. The construction of urban community public space will have profound significance on negotiating community public benefits, enhancing public consciousness of residents and improving the residents’sense of belonging to their community. This thesis is based on the theory of cooperative governance, which aims at exploring the action logic of constructing community public space under subjective perspective. Jing’an District in Shanghai is taken as an example, and three kinds of action logic are inducted, which include negotiation logic, service logic and demonstration logic. Also, the motivations, activity characteristics, activity influencing factors and value criterion of the actors in these three kinds of action logic are compared and analyzed. The integration strategies of action logic for constructing urban community public space are investigated at last.
