The new round of curriculum reform includes Geographic Information Technology not only in the national basic education curriculum for the first time, but also in high school curriculum system in the form of curriculum standard, with content and elective modules set up.But in fact, due to the deviation in understanding the curriculum standard, the differences among geography teaching materials, the confusion during the classroom teaching, etc, a number of issues have been arising in the process of geographic information technology teaching.Therefore, the development of geography information technology in high school geography curriculum is of great significance.;In this paper, I will analysis the advantages and disadvantages of present high school geography teaching material, in terms of the geography information technology part by intensively explaining the "ordinary high school geography curriculum standard (experiment)", and then come to the conclusion and puts forward some amendments.The full paper is divided into five parts:the first part is introduction, mainly discussing the research background and significance, research status at home and abroad, research contents and methods, technology roadmap.The second part is to analyze the advantages and disadvantage of the four sets of the current high school geography teaching material as well as the involved information technology part so as to come to the conclusion of its characteristic and the insufficiency, and then some proposed amendments.The third part is to analyze the concepts, principles of "the ordinary high school geography curriculum standard", the part about curriculum development in geographic information technology, with the purpose of a comprehensive, macro grasp of my research content.The fourth part is some development cases about geography information technology in high school geography textbooks.The fifth part of this paper introduces the basic research summary, and some problems to be studied in the future.
