In the filed of pedagogy, the approaches to achieving some expected teaching aims during teaching activities are defined as teaching methods, which have always been drawing researcher’s attention. Due to the difference in ages, social background as well as culture, there are significant differences in teaching methods among various countries and ages. With society advancing, more and more emphasis put on autonomous learning. In contrast, teachers are responsible for providing necessary help during learning activities. This teaching concept has been fully reflected in scaffolding teaching.Based on the current high school physics teaching requirements, the present thesis applies the scaffolding theory to authentic physical teaching. This thesis presents the applications process of mechanics, electromagnetic, multi-solution to one problem, and moving images in the aspect of concepts, laws, and exercises. Then, statistical and analysis are conducted on students’performance in the classroom. The thesis compares the accuracy rates of two groups (the experiment group and the control group), and analyzes the data, which reveals the superiority of the scaffolding theory.The results indicate that the scaffolding teaching can help students have a deeper understanding of knowledge, and makes it easier for students to experience the joy of learning. Therefore, scaffolding teaching plays a positive role in helping teachers monitor the learning process of students, assisting teachers in carrying on implement individualized education, improving students’ learning autonomy and activating students’ interest and etc.
