The Chinese woman’s tennis athletes have achieved impressive record in the world of tennis, it makes Chinese full of vitality and hope. The formation of the college tennis training and the tennis team was held in rapid develop. How to make the tennis game more exciting and players can play their proper level is an important topic to every tennis athletes or tennis amateurs. When collage tennis athlete first begun to learn tennis, they always ignore a very important technology: the study of multi-directional movement training. Most collage tennis training team is based on technical training. It is main include: basic skills of tennis forehand and backhand, volley ball, ball, high pressure, lob, drop shots of the six basic fundamental, ignore a key technology: multi-directional movement. Movement is a basic element for every physical training. Multi-directional movement is a complex of several single mobile technologies. And also it is the strength, speed, agility, coordination and other qualities of the comprehensive embodiment. The speed and the sensitive fitness of athlete, the physical amateur and students can be easily improved through the multi-directional movement. Meanwhile the displacement ability can be easily show off through this training. Only mastering the technology of multi-directional movement can we better grasp the tennis basic skill. It is the real sense of the master of tennis. And then we can achieve the excellent academic performance.Tennis, classified as a skills-dominated across-net antagonistic sport event, the good sensitivity, response speed, movement speed and explosive force, are the basis for athletes to complete high quality technology. With the introduction and development of foreign body movement function training method, multi-directional movement training method in foreign countries has been obtained generally recognized, especially in improving physical fitness and master the reasonable footwork ability has been widely praised, but domestic scholars involved less. In this paper, the author’s research direction, the application value of multi-directional movement training method in college tennis training and specific training content research, has reached to the purpose of improving the tennis athlete’s physical quality, basic skills and the competition ability. Then selected suitable for the development of college tennis athlete multi-directional movement of specific training content. Meanwhile it provides the reference for the college grid against athlete development about direction movement ability.We use the experimental method in this paper.We choose one tennis training team which consist of 16 boys. They all come fro m Grade 2014 in Harbin University. The experiment was divided into the experimental group and the control group randomly. The content of the training is the same. The only difference is that the experimental group added the multi-direction movement training before the basic technology study. Before the experiment, the content of the test is body shape, physical quality and basic technology. After the experiment, the content of the test is physical fitness, basic technology, competition performance and technical indicators of the game statistics. Above these, I made a conclusion:1.Through the multi-direction movement, training can improve the physical quality, basic skills and competition ability of tennis players.2.Multi-direction movement training in improving the physical quality of the athletes made sensitive quality and moving ability increased significantly.3.Multi-direction movement training in improving the basic technical aspects of the athletes made the accuracy of the shot increased significantly.4.Multi-direction movement training in improving the basic technical aspects of the athletes made the winning points increased and the non-forced mistakes reduced.5.Multi-direction movement training methods are simple and easy to be applied to the daily training of college tennis team.
