The rapid development of information technology, greatly changed people’s life,also promoted positive change in the field of education.How to take advantage of information technology to improve the traditional teaching mode has become the hot topics in education research.Mathematical concept shows the essential properties of mathematical object, thus is the basic of mathematical system.Therefore, the teaching of mathematical concepts plays fundamental role in math teaching.Mathematics concept teaching is the key point of math teaching and learning.This paper mainly deals with the IT application into mathematical concepts teaching.When studying the mathematical concepts teaching under IT background, this paper adopts research methods of literature research,observation and analysis, case study. Firstly, we reflect the present mathematical concept teaching, and review related papers.Secondly,we introduce two kinds of IT tools that commonly used in teaching: tablets PC and graphing calculator.Last but not least,taking concepts teaching as example, we specifically study the application of IT in mathematical concept teaching, that is how to teach mathematical concepts using IT,trying to use information technology to solve the problems that teach students according to their aptitude and timely feedback in the traditional concept of teaching, and we make conclusion about our study andpropose the forecast to future research.Information technology in mathematical concept teaching play roles in create the teaching situation,change students’ attitude toward math study,provide rich information resource, effectively promote interactive learning and feedback in time,fully embody the teaching base on students’ development. Mathematical concept teaching using IT should follow the four principles: the student-centered principle, teachingefficiency principle, immediate feedback principle and mutual advantages principle.Mathematical concept teaching using IT can be carried out in accordance with the 5 parts & 3 keys” teaching mode. “5 parts” is the 5basic teaching parts; “3 keys” means the subjectivity of students,encouragement of teachers and backup of IT. Based on the above principle and teaching mode, this paper offers four teaching cases of mathematical concept using IT, in order to offer the reference for teaching practice.
