Basic Education Curriculum Reform Outline, issued by the Ministry of Education in June 2001, proposes that we should actively develop and utilize all kinds of curriculum resources in and out of campus, to expand the students’ learning choices and satisfy the needs of the students’ personality development. Through a survey among the students in Class 15, Chang Jun Middle School, the author found that chemistry calculation is their soft rib, and both their ability as well as their interest in chemistry calculation needs to be improved further. However, the arrangement of calculation materials in PEP Compulsory 1 and the teachers’ experience illusion indirectly increase their difficulty in chemistry calculation. With its own characteristics and the teaching practice, it is of great necessity to integrate and develop auxiliary materials of the chemistry calculation based on PEP Compulsory 1, which has more reasonable knowledge presentation, to provide material support to explore the teaching methods and strategies of Compulsory 1 chemistry calculation in accord with the characteristics of high school students’ cognitive development.First, the author investigated the high school students’ evaluation on the chemical calculation in the PEP Compulsory 1 textbook, and then analyzed the requirements of the new curriculum standard to the chemistry calculation ability, and the shortcomings of the three aspects —selection, organization and presentation in the PEP Compulsory 1 textbook on chemistry calculation. And then the framework of the auxiliary materials of the chemistry calculation based on the PEP Compulsory 1 was determined by the requirements of the college entrance examination on the Compulsory 1 chemistry calculation.Then its writing principle of was determined by the principle of the compilation of teaching materials.By the framework of the structure above the lines to content, methods and strategies was determined,and then the line and eight columns was designed,;The auxiliary materials was written in three parts, the first part and second part is based on the chemistry concept and chemical reaction of simple calculation, the third part is about the integrated computation.Research on the efficiency of the auxiliary materials shows that most of the surveyed teachers have a positive attitude to the contents, structure, language, and exercises of the auxiliary materials, thinking that the auxiliary materials can enhance students’ interest and ability in chemistry calculation. The experiment proves that the auxiliary materials have the following effects on students: It has improved the students’ basic knowledge and skills of chemistry calculation; It has improved the students’ integrated computation ability, and within a certain range, the more comprehensive the calculation content is, the more greatly the calculation ability of the students improves; It has helped the students develop their own evaluation strategy.
