SOLO’s full name,Structure of the Observed Learning Outcome,meaning "observable learning result structure".According to this theory,the observation of learning results can be used to analyze the five levels of thinking when students answer a specific question :Prestructural level,Unistructural level,Multistructural level,Relational level and Extended abstract level.In the late 1990 s,some scholars began to study the new curriculum reform in China,and applied it in teaching and examinations.In 1988,wu wei ning introduced the theory of SOLO evaluation to China,and then CAI yonghong and gao ling biao and other authors discussed the theory accordingly.The empirical study of SOLO theory in China began in1996 : The American sland used the theory to evaluate the material problems of the big production movement in the San Gan Ning border area.In 2006,guangdong province made the first use of the theory to carry out high test questions.In 2008,Kang Zheng and Lin Wei for Shanghai minhang middle school students of grade three historical thinking training,based on the theory of the SOLO classification evaluation and through the analysis of experimental data,and that year history college entrance examination scores of SOLO theory to guide teaching importance and the feasibility.SOLO theory over the years in the domestic research focused on the analysis and preparation of test questions and scoring criteria,SOLO level of analysis and test,the design of classroom teaching and practice,to guide the chemistry learning psychology empirical research.Exploring the guiding role of SOLO classification theory in thereview teaching of chemical calculation in ninth grade is the further excavation of the theoretical value.This study by the hunan shaoyang city wugang dongting experimental middle school grade nine students as the research object,through the former student to carry on the experiment of selecting thinking level,and the experimental group students experimental intervention,finally using SOLO classification level after tests,analysis the change of students’ thinking level before and after the experiment.The results showed that the experimental intervention group had a significant improvement in the level of SOLO thinking in chemical calculation.
