During the course of the rapid development of Chinese economy,the education and training industry has become an important industry with the potential market as big as 300 billion RMB and the speed of appearance of new programs over 25% annually. The market of China’s education and training industry has great potential and is very promising.There are millions of training programs in China, with English, IT and kids’ education as the three major strengths.This paper will do case study on the brand of POP Kids Education,which is under the leading enterprise of education and training, New Oriental Education & Technology Group. With the guidance of strategy formulation theories, it does an overall analysis of the formulation and implementation of the diversification strategy of POP Kids Education,using the combined research method of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. It explains the current situation of China’s kids’ education industry, based on the SWOT analysis of POP Kids Education.The whole paper is divided into 6 parts:The first part discusses the background and value of the selected topic, summarizing the implementation and development issues faced by China’s kids’ education industry, lists the current researches on the diversified development of kids’ education industry, and explains theresearch methods as well as the structure and organization of the paper.The second part introduced some theories of strategy managements.The third part makes a brief introduction of the history of POP Kids Education, and analyzes the environment and the development tendency of China’s kids’ education industry, including the major issues and the prediction of its development tendency. And analyzes POP Kids Education’s current situation of the development of strategic and the problems of current situation.The fourth part analyzes the diversification strategy of POP Kids Education, and explains its strategic objectives, positioning as well as the implementation plans from the background of its strategy formulation and the five elements model of strategy formulation.The fifth part gives the suggestions of POP Kids Education diversification strategies, systemically analyzes the risk of diversification strategy implementation, and proposes the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for risk control.The last part is the conclusion, stating the inspirations brought by the diversified development of POP Kids Education.
