With the education and teaching reform facing its unprecedented chance, promoting teaching democracy has become one of the major issues in the reform of school management system. In practice, the implementation of English democracy management of English teaching is conducive to improving the efficiency of teaching management, to achieving the democratization and scientific ongoing of teaching management, to building a harmonious relationship between students and teachers and to the formation of an efficient management mechanism. Therefore, it is of great historical significance and social value to study democratic management of junior high school English Teaching in depth.Firstly, by consulting a mass of documents, the current research situation about teaching democracy at home and abroad is found out to locate the starting point for this research. The definition of relevant concepts and literature review are formed. Secondly, this thesis takes teaching democracy in Chengdu Z Middle School’s English Teaching as research focus and uses English Teaching in this school as specific examples. This thesis takes questionnaires from 300 students and uses interviews of 6 students and 6 typical teachers from Chengdu Z Middle School. Through questionnaires and interviews, the current situation about teaching democracy management in Chengdu Z Middle School is found out. By means of statistic analysis, the current situation of teaching democracy in English teaching and the influence factors in Chengdu Z Middle school are analyzed. Based on these findings, corresponding suggestions are given to teaching democracy in Middle school English teaching.Through this research, it is found that democratic management in Chengdu Z school has a certain foundation, but it is not as deep as expected. According to the statistic analysis of questionnaires from students, the current situation of teaching democratic in Chengdu Z Middle School is known: Equality of the harmonious between teachers and students is not enough; the guidance for teaching is lacking; the dialogue between students and teachers needs to be improved. By analyzing interviews with English teachers and students, the influence factors from teachers, students and the environment are probed. Based on this, some suggestions about teaching democratic in Chengdu Z Middle School’s English Teaching are to be given. First, we should build a harmonious and democratic teacher-student relationship. Second, English teaching methods needs to be innovated. Third, attitude combining strictness and tolerance toward English Teaching shall be held.
