HPS advocates embedding the history of science, philosophy of science and sociology of science into science education of primary and middle schools reasonably, permeating into the chemistry teaching with science conception. This is not only beneficial to enrich the content and form of inquiry teaching, but also help to promote students’ understanding of the nature of science and the improvement of scientific literacy.According to the current educational situation, this thesis puts forward to set up HSP education in the chemistry teaching, based on analysis of the typical teaching case of middle school chemistry. In the meanwhile, to show the developing course of the chemistry with setting the chemistry history, we must exploit the teaching material efficiently. In order to enhance the understanding and utilization of the scientific methods for the students, we should open research learning and experiment learning which apply to discover and solve the problems related to the daily life. Inspiring students to have the knowledge that chemistry is not isolated from the point of view of intimate relationship of chemistry, life and the society, which can stimulate students’interest in learning chemistry and help students understand chemistry and human life. With the help of the chemical principle, the students set up dialectical materialist philosophy viewpoint from the perspective of natural science. In addition, the thesis introduces the lifetime and the contribution of the chemists, and discloses the social value of scientific achievements, therefore, improve the students’ quality. Through case studies, this thesis tries to change the habit of exa m-oriented and knowledge-oriented, so that focus on the acquiring process instead of the results. In that case, we may realize the whole, contact teaching based on the process, methods, emotion, attitude and values.
