Chinese traditional culture has a long and profound history,it is the Chinese nation that produced mind in thousands of years of civilization,and it is the main carrier that has huge amount of literature since ancient times.On this basis, thousands of years of cultural scholar gradually formed a research and reading of classic and has become one of China’s most important educational activities antiquity. Until the late Qing Dynasty, under the strong impact of foreign invasion of Western capitalist powers, China was forced to embark on the modernization of the road "latecomer exogenous" type, started social transformation. This history also changes the traditional education that has been affected to the ancient imperial examination system as the core of the education system was abolished, the classical aims of education, forms of education, educational content and so on,or exit the stage of history, or happen metamorphosis.Among them, child reading is the major forms of once the ancient classical reading and elementary education, with the establishment of the modern school system evolved into the primary school reading activity, and it had the difficult existence and ups and downs in the period of the republic of China.This history not only reflects the great influence of the traditional culture education of social transformation, also how to develop the traditional culture in contemporary China education significance, thus it is the necessary to conduct systematic research.This paper tries from education, history, culture, science and other disciplines perspective, the integrated use of historical analysis, literature analysis, case studies and other research methods, the impact of social transformation from the traditional culture education, combining with the related theory of social transformation, in primary school reading activities during the period of the republic of China as the research object, analyzing the primary school reading activities during the history background, evolution course and academic research, and the implied deep influence factors,and in combination with the current China’s elementary education of present situation on the basis of traditional culture, the contemporary reading as the representative of elementary school traditional culture education’s development puts forward concrete suggestions, in order to provide new thought of theory research and practice under the education of Chinese traditional culture of the school system.
