With the deepening of the ordinary high school education teaching reform,and the continuous enrollment expansion of colleges and universities, the high school students who have art specialty show the momentum of rapid growth, their Chinese teaching research gradually attract the attention of a gleam of Chinese teacher. Writings in classical style, as a Chinese traditional culture, traditional moral concept and the carrier of aesthetic idea, are the emphasis and difficulty in high school Chinese teaching.Learning the classical Chinese can help these art class students feel the spirit of the Chinese nation and laid the Chinese traditional culture. At the same time, in the learning process of classical Chinese, they can improve their temperament and aesthetic ability, experience the ancient noble sentiment edification and infection.However, because of the differences of ancient Chinese system and modern Chinese system, the boring of the knowledge of classical Chinese, these students always feel no interesting when studying. There are many problems in the process of teaching.Therefore, this article adopts the way of questionnaire survey to investigate the teaching of classical Chinese present situation of art class, then analyzes the main problems and reasons, and puts forward the classical Chinese teaching strategies to improve the teaching situation of art class.The paper is divided into four parts. The introduction defines the art class and classical Chinese, and expounds the research status of the selected topic, the research significance and research methods. In the first chapter, we examined 792 students and15 senior high school language teacher of Luoyang High School of Changzhou Wujin district. After the data statistics and meticulously summary of the results, we analyzed from the aspects of both teachers and students present situation of the classical Chinese teaching in art class. In the second chapter, based on the research of the data, we analysis the problems in the classical Chinese teaching in art class as well as the causes of these problems. On the one hand, these students who have art specialty lack thelearning interest and enthusiasm, they haven’t understand the importance of the classical Chinese of learning, and also lack of learning autonomy, the reason is that their learning ability foundation is poor, learning attitude is not correct, utilitarian mentality of learning. On the other hand, the teachers’ teaching content is single, their teaching methods are old, their teaching means didn’t targeted, the reason is that many teachers’ teaching idea are obsolete, their teaching innovation are insufficient and teaching of utilitarianism is stronger. In the third chapter, based on the analysis of the problems and reasons, we put forward the suggestions to improve the teaching of classical Chinese in art class students, and to follow on the basis of classical Chinese knowledge, reading comprehension as key, take the student as the main body in principle. Then strengthen the teaching attitude and reading guidance, increase the learning interest, gradually develop capacity, innovation teaching methods and search curriculum resources.
