The content of the discontinuity text is designed to investigate the students acquire, analyze and explain information on the basis of information and clues provided by materials, and the ability of judge and evaluate the new information.However,the arrangement of comprehensive learning in unit gives students a lot of reading material of the continuity text. The senior high school entrance examination of recent years also appears this kind of discontinuity text reading test. Therefore, it is very important to research the problems and solving strategy of Chinese comprehensive learning from the characteristics of discontinuity text reading material.This paper discusses from five parts.The first part is the introduction part. To put forward the researching background;to sort out the domestic and foreign research achievements, explain their achievements and shortcomings; to discuss the innovation of the thesis from the selected topic, the age requirement for future talent and students’ practical life and to elaborate the significance of this subject.The second part is the interpretation of concept. To define the connotation of Chinese comprehensive learning; to analyze the characteristics of Chinese comprehensive learning; to elaborate the requirements of comprehensive learning from Curriculum, the characteristics and the goals of Chinese comprehensive learning in the junior middle school stage; to state the significance and teaching value of setting up the comprehensive learning. Then introduce the discontinuity text from the concept, forms and its advantages and to elaborate the value of discontinuity text inteaching and the purpose of the reading discontinuity text from the characteristics of discontinuity text and the demands of learning discontinuity text from Curriculum in each period.The third part is to analyze the content of comprehensive learning of junior middle school in PEP; to overview the design idea and basic idea; to classify comprehensive learning materials in PEP and to state the rationality of setting discontinuity text module; to outline its characteristics and compare to the Chinese version of comprehensive learning arrangement; to elaborate the typically use of the discontinuity text; to collect test questions of the discontinuity text of the senior high school entrance examination in recent years and to analyze rules and method of title and to solve problems in combined with its characteristic by various forms appeared in the discontinuity text.The fourth part is to analyze the problems existed in the present Chinese comprehensive learning in four aspects: the theme is far away from students’ actual,the teaching goal is not clear, the activity content is single and the "Chinese flavor" is lack.The fifth part is the teaching strategies of Chinese comprehensive learning.
