Through the author read a lot of relevant literature and field observation of high school volleyball class and communicate with volleyball and volleyball option class students, found that high school students choosing volleyball class has decreased in recent years, summarized the cause of this phenomenon may have three:one is limited by ground equipment and staff, volleyball teaching content arrangement is unreasonable; Second, volleyball skills obsolete teaching methods, single pass, cushion, buckle, exercises dull; Three is the professionalism of the volleyball movement is stronger, many technical action is not easy to learn, to reduce the students’ enthusiasm to learn volleyball skills. In order to solve the actual problem, this paper chose the most foundation mat ball in volleyball technology, quasi developed by studying interest and practicability of mat ball exercise methods and means, in order to arouse students learning interest and motivation of volleyball, better with volleyball mat ball skills and practice for high school volleyball course upload mat ball technology method to supplement.This article USES the literature material law, questionnaire survey method, teaching method, action research method and mathematical statistics, in the high school volleyball mat ball skills practice methods and means of development as the research object, according to the formation law of sandstrom, volleyball sports skill preach mat ball technology characteristic and volleyball mat technology practice methods and means of development principle, the implementation of the strategies for volleyball mat ball skills practice methods and means for the development. Volleyball option class, grade and Shanghai minhang middle schools students as test object, the test class USES the method and means the development of teaching practice, that in comparative classes for regular practice teaching method, experiment on two classes after students pass ball exercises by the questionnaires method and means to develop awareness, draw the conclusion:1、The volleyball mat ball skills, practice methods and means can be divided into standard skills, improve skills, applied three stages were developed in 18 cases;2、By means of two different classes for 10 weeks training methods of teaching, students’ volleyball mat ball skill levels have made progress, and the experimental class of students of ball skill levels significantly higher than that in comparative classes;3、Through experiment on two classes after the questionnaire survey, practice methods and means of development is conducive to enhance students’ interest in learning volleyball, improve the students’ enthusiasm and confidence of study, obviously can active classroom atmosphere, to enhance the students’ sports participation levels at the same time;4、Through the experimental class students to develop awareness of the case according to the survey, students are more like the team combination, the nature of the game, practice methods, from the side, volleyball practice methods and means of development can cultivate the students’ competitive consciousness of cooperation.
