Timetables are common in daily school life, but not enough emphasis has been put on to them in the field of educational research. Timetables reflect the theory of education in a school, and are closely related to both teachers’and students’daily schedule at school. The efficiency of school timetables exerts great influence on the success of learning and instruction directly. From the perspective of curriculum resource, this dissertation intends to analyze how the curriculum time arranged by timetables affect school life and attempt to figure out the main reason behind the monotonous and unchanging appearance of timetables.School timetable is the school educational time arrangements which made in purpose of distribute recourses properly on the basis of curriculum standard in the course of curriculum and instruction management. Upon forming a plan, it is used by all teachers and students. From the perspective of educational time, there are horizontal structure and vertical structure in a timetable. In the case of School D, it is possible to see that different subjective have different demands towards school timetables. Schools put more emphasis on national curriculum, teachers put more emphasis on how the timetable ensure their own teaching plan, and the students values that if the schedule of timetable gives them enough freedom.The current situations of timetables are due to the general educational environment as well as the schools’specific exertion and understanding of the curriculum. Actually, it is because of the uncertainty of goal setting in educationally developed areas and the high pressure of junior public school in regions with intensive educational resources that in order to follow the trend of assuring the result of high school entrance examination, schools have to control curricular time rigidly. In the future, breakthroughs could be made in the traditional pattern of putting curriculum into pre-arranged forms of timetables by pushing through their limitations in controlling curricular time and further strengthening their organic effectiveness as part of the school ecology.
