In this paper, we research the rise of female teachers in modern China, in order to explore that how all kinds of female teachers are succeed in teaching, to show the contradictions and conflicts, and to analysis the relationship between it and education reform. According to the major issues that influenced the development of female teachers in modern China, the rise of female teachers can be divided into three stages: the end of nineteenth century to 1907,1907 to 1919,1919 to 1937. The main research methods are literature method and comparative method. The study found that, at the end of the nineteenth century, with the transformation of social production mode, women entered the society. With the change of female view and the rise of female education, female teachers came into being. Before 1907, the main teaching subjects of the female teachers who was mostly taught in elementary school for girls, was needlework and Chinese Literature. Most of them were affected by father and husband to be a teacher, who were lack of teaching experience and the teaching method.They taught students by self-exploration. At the same time,women were facing resistance from all sides; Most of the female teachers taught in primary and secondary schools at the second stage. Due to the government’s recognition and support, the overall quality and teaching level of female teachers in elementary school enhanced. The teaching subjects increased. Female teachers in middle schools were beginning to take shape, educated. but the management of female teachers was faultiness. Women who became teachers still need to face up to the public opinion and resistance from family. In 1919 to 1937, the number of female teachers in colleges and universities increased. The young female teachers and personalized female teachers were noteworthy. Women put emphasis on taking different measures to balance work and family.the social and family resistance of female teachers have been disappeared gradually. Female teachers have a relatively bright period.
