Study On The Social Work Skills Of Migrant Children’s Growth Group

Under the background of large gap between urban and rural economic development,many rural parents are forced to earn a living and work in cities,it brings about the problem of children’s growth.Migrant children are facing the challenge of new environment,many problems appear in the process of migrant children’s new integration.In order to reduce the pressure of parents of migrant children,help migrant children solve the problem and adapt to new life,intervention of social work is necessary,group work is an important form of intervention to help migrant children grow up and integrate into urban life.This paper takes "hand in hand mutual assistance" growth group as an example and focuses on the study of working skills,in order to provide some reference for the group work of migrant children.The social work skills of the group is related to the success or failure of the group.The influence of group workers on the practical effect of social work is obvious,the development of group practice requires social workers to have the comprehensive ability of skills application.this study is based on group dynamics theory and group development theory,in the "hand in hand mutual assistance" growth group,through the whole process of observing,analyzing service action of social worker,reflecting on the skills of social worker in the process of practice.Summarizing the skills of shortcomings and advantages,improving the work ability,enhancing the practical efficiency and improving the growth group model.In this paper,to collect information by referring to the relevant literature,questionnaires,interviews.Apply non-participatory to observe group process.Focus on the whole process of the group from the initiate stage to the group reflection,evaluation stage,and reflecting group social work skills.It is discussed in detail for assessment skills,activity design skills,role transformation skills,group effect evaluation skills in this paper.After each group activity,reflecting on the application of professional skills in time.Especially,the application and analysis of skills in different stages of group development,the analysis of coping skills of different types of team members,communication and interaction skills,encouragement techniques,to strengthen the professional knowledge of social workers again and improve their practical ability.
