Domestic violence issues are becoming much more severe these years. The proportion of the occurrence is increasing year by year. In particular, out of the 267 million families in the countrywide, there are 30% women who have suffered from domestic violence; 25% of the total divorce cases are accounted for domestic violence. What’s more, domestic violence has become the third main causes of female suicide. Taking the severity into consideration, a professional social work method is applied to intervene domestic violence. Fortunately, these professional methods already have some preliminarily positive effects. Furthermore, it leads a deep research of violence issues.The present research is a practical research, which focuses on analyzing the intervention of social work when dealing with marital and domestic violence. Based on the facts of the case, the research discusses the causes of domestic violence, and the functions of social work intervention.The four parts listed below are the main parts of the body of the study.In the first part, the research introduces the background, purpose and significance, research review, research methods and related concepts of the case. In the second part, reasons of marital problems of domestic violence are discussed, and the intervention methods of social work are analyzed. The third part is the particular case using intervention to those families with the violence problems.During the process of collecting data to establishing trust relationships with the client, related professional knowledge to social work has been made fully use of. Finally, the case intervention makes sense through the dispute resolution of social workers and clients.The fourth part proposes the coping strategies that can solve the family violence in marriage.
