Nowadays, the situation of employment is still grim. The main performance is that the population of employment is still expanding, the contradiction between the supply and demand remains to be easing. So the structural contradictions of employment is obvious, and the pressure of employment in our society is generally great. Graduates in university are very important parts of the group of employment in our country, and the situation of graduates’ employment is not optimistic. The phenomenon of graduates’ employment is still widespread. At present, the phenomenon of the heat of postgraduate entrance exam and the craze for civil service examination is still heating up. Some universities even appear a batch of post graduate and civil servant, they only focus on the examination and pay no attention to employment information. There are also quite a great deal of graduates who only confine to the eastern and coastal developed cities when choosing jobs, or focus on the salary, benefits and working conditions too much. Their high expectations lead to the employment difficulty. In addition, the main cause of the graduates’ employment difficult in university dues to the lack of the core employment competitive advantage. By studying this topic,it will come about a very important theoretical and practical significance in the transformation from the "employment rate" to "the quality of employment", improving the situation of difficulties in recruiting new employees by the employments’ unit, and also promoting the university students’ employment core competitiveness.This paper is designed by the common idea through asking questions, analyzing and solving problems. The introduction firstly analyzes the currently situation of employment on the whole in our country, puts forward the problem of the graduates’ employment difficulty, and analyzes the main cause of graduates’ employment difficulty, and also come out an idea that improving the university students’ employment core competitiveness is the key of solving their employment difficulty.Chapter 1 mainly describes the related theory of the employment core competitiveness and studies its definition, features and constituent elements, which include rational employment idea, favorable psychological quality, excellent professional accomplishment, abundant practical experience and excellent ability of occupation.Chapter 2 puts forwards the problem of graduates’ employment core competitiveness in our country and the analyzes the causes by researching Shandong University and one hundred employment units,using the empirical and theoretical methods.Chapter 3 mainly studies the effective measures of improving the university students’employment core competitiveness abroad, such as Britain, the United States and Japan, in order to provide the reference to our country.Chapter 4 finally puts forward some effective solutions to promote the university students’ employment core competitiveness from the aspects of the universities, government, employment units, families and students themselves in our country.
