Research On The Correlation Of Urban Competitiveness And The University Students’ Employment

Throughout the status and development trend in and abroad, we find that in the urbanization of China and world, the progress of technology, the development of human beings, the scarcity of resources to make urban society is facing fierce competition and conflict. City to be in a new round of competition, there must be sufficient human capital, university graduates can be added a fresh blood of resources. Though the university students’ employment is an old problem, from the Angle of urban competitiveness, to investigate the correlation between University students’ employment and have certain innovation. Due to large urban competitiveness is a subject, this paper select the related data of the five cities of Yangtze river delta from the perspective of empirical analysis.This paper firstly summarizes the relevant researches in and abroad, especially in the domestic and foreign urban competitiveness and the study of university students’ employment problems, mainly to grasp the industry competitiveness in the competitiveness of cities the correlation between college students’ employment and the research context.Five cities in Yangtze river delta’s industry structure and employment of regression analysis, by analyzing the contribution rate of employment in the three industries, then taking Hangzhou and the other four cities as an example, analysis of different industries and business climate index influence on university students’ employment, in the end, based on the comprehensive analysis of the five cities(from2006-2012), on the basis of relevant employment policy, according to the empirical results, some conclusion.The main contribution of this paper is: Firstly, based on the economic geography, industrial economics, economics of education theory as the study of correlation between university students’ employment and urban competitiveness theory foundation.Secondly, based on the Yangtze river delta as an example, to reduce the study scale regional scope, specific industries and enterprises to the five cities, a more detailed and specific reflects the key elements of the urban competitiveness of industry competition and employment relations, also analyzes the policies about the Yangtze river delta employment policy, and provide the corresponding conclusions.
