In recent years, the employment of college students has become a hot issue of social concern. The employment pressure that increasing number of graduates have to face will increase over time. In the National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party eighteenth, solving the employment problem is a top priority of the President Hu Jintao’s proposal of improving people’s livelihood. In order to stand out in the fierce and brutal competition for jobs and find a satisfactory job, enhancing the core competitiveness of college employment is crucial. Currently the vast majority of college students after years of study and accumulation, already has a strong competitive employment, but many of them cannot get the attention and favor of the because they do not meet the needs of employers, so we need to know what kind of core competitiveness the college students should have under the employer-based recruitment perspective, then to explore the content and structure of core competitiveness in order to match the correlation between both sides of supply and demand, only by this way can the graduates get satisfactory job.The main aim of this paper is to redefine the college graduations’core employment competition, by literature review of research on university students’employment core competition, and based on the human capital theory, core competition and individual core competition theory. Moreover, the purpose of this paper is to discuss and distinguish the relevant concept of core competition and state the characteristics of college graduations’ employment. On this basis, a statement of domestic and abroad studies of college graduations’ core employment competition structure will be made, and reconstruct the college graduations’ core employment competition. With the methodology of theory analysis and interview of relevant experts to build the model of college graduations’core employment. In addition to that, a measurement of college graduations’core employment competition is designed. To collect the relevant data, a methodology of questionnaire is conducted. After that, SPSS19and LISTEL8.7are utilized to carry out the quantitative data analysis about exploratory factors and verifiable factors to verify the model of college graduations’core employment competition. Finally, through principal component analysis, the factors of college graduations’core employment competition are divided according to weights, the factors of college graduations’ core employment competition from the aspects of employer recruitment, and the separate impact importance extent are achieved. The contribution of this paper is to state the measures for the universities to enhance college graduations’core employment competition, and provide assist and guidance for fresh college graduations.Three main questions will be answered:the new intension of college graduations’core employment competition, the structure of college graduations’core employment competition, and the weights of each relevant element in the structure of college graduations’core employment competition model.New conclusions are achieved in this paper:firstly, new intension of college graduations’ core employment competition is defined. It is achieved during the process of study, practice, and living experience. It is a kind of unique, sustainable inimitable and irreplaceable capital. It can bring the college graduations constant competition advantage. Secondly, college graduation core employment competition is composed of core capability and concept of quality. Core employment is composed of:capability of study, capability of technology, capability of innovation, capability of adapt, and capability of practice. Concept of quality includes mentality and professional consciousness. Finally, it is concluded that the core competence and quality concept to the composition of the core competence of university students’ employment weights were49%and51%respectively, clearly reflects that the current employers are more and more focusing on the college graduations’own high quality, noble personality, right professional consciousness and job views.According to this paper, the government and college should properly adjust or optimize educational system for college students, so that cultivated graduates with core competition will match the demands of employment market in the future. Only by this way can it avoid improper skill for employment and graduates be outstanding from fierce employment competition.In addition, it will also help and guide college students to grasp and promote the direction of the study better, to accumulate abundant and useful knowledge, skill and capability for the future and to improve the college graduations’ own high quality, noble personality, and right professional consciousness and job views.
