Application Research On Support Group Intervention In The Community Based Rehabilitation Among The Disabled Children

Since 1950 s, community based rehabilitation as one basic idea of the disabled rehabilitation model, has been spread and promote to all over the world. It takes more chance for the disabled children can enjoy with peers participating in social life, and share achievements of national’s development in the area of material and culture, and own rights of legal protection.Meanwhile,it also has become a mainstream value idea on today’s society. For domestic social work subject, it is still in the stage of theoretical exploration on disabled cause. In the process of promoting disabled cause with the community construction, every social worker should take more practice and find out professional roles and intervention, when we design rehabilitation services for disabled children on the community. That is an important issue for us to study.This practice research includes four parts.The first part is introduction. It includes the research of background, purpose, significance, and literature review, concept definition, research methods and mainly theory basis. In the second part of this practice research, the author lead into one research sample which from the SH street rehabilitation service center in Shenzhen, than analyze and evaluate the needs of disabled children about the community based rehabilitation. The third part is a concernment part of this practice.The author depend on the social work theory and practice method, then design social work practice for the disabled children,and set up a professional support group to improve who are facing with issues and demands in this center. The fourth part is summary and suggestion. In view of the social work method to intervention in the community base rehabilitation of disabled children and put forwards some suggestion measures.To sum up, as same with the development of the disabled cause, social work intervention to the community based rehabilitation of disabled children still needs a long period of process. This practice is only one beginning. It is confirming that this method of social work intervention in community base rehabilitation of disabled children is available. In other words, we should clear that social work if want to provide professional services in the disabled areas, and exert professional value and efforts, not only based on more social workers but also need more disabled person and more social’s jointly efforts.
