An Investigation Of Moral Problems And Countermeasures Of Current Rural Family

Since the reform and opening up, remarkable and profound changes have been occurred in Chinese sociality, politics, economic and culture. China is undergoing a dramatic transition period. As a large agricultural country, rural issues have always been the focus of academic attention in China. While rural transforming from a traditional society to a modern, old family moral system gradually disintegrates.However, the new family moral system has still not yet formed. During such a special period, weather the rural family moral problems can be discovered and resolved in time or not become a significant factor, which will dramatically affect the goal of building a moderately prosperous society and the stability and development of society. Therefore, under such a social background, the analysis of the rural family morality status and putting forward feasible countermeasures becomes a crucial issue.In this thesis, after reading plenty of academic survey reports on the issues of rural family, several critical aspects of its changes have been got, which is on the basis of case analysis. Firstly, family structure in rural areas has significantly changed. The traditional big family becomes smaller and smaller, while the nuclear family is generated. An increasing number of farmers migrate to the urban to earn a living, grandparents family has been a common phenomenon in most rural. Secondly,inter generational relationship of rural families have some new changes. Thirdly,rural family values and ideas, including the marriage concept, the fertility concept has also changed.The various changes are just the rapid development of China’s productive forces’ promoting on the performance of rural social progresses. However, in the process of these good changes, inevitable family moral problems have also presented.Such as filial piety is challenged and rural old-age tragedy happens now and then;the stability of marriage has been hit, and family has become more vulnerable; left behind children with lack of family care lead to moral decline. What is it that theimportant content and urgent task of the construction of spiritual civilization in rural areas of our country. In this thesis, from the process of the change of rural family, an dynamic analysis of its special period and problems’ specialization of the rural family morality has been grasped. To reconstruct the countryside family morals system and to solve its moral problems, several beneficial explorations and discussions have been provided. To carry out the process of moral education of rural households, one should focus on strengthening the educational content of the following aspects: strengthening the education of filial piety and enhancing awareness of the responsibility of the elderly support in; strengthening mutual love of education and enhancing the stability of marriage and family in rural areas;strengthening parenting, promoting the improvement of rural adolescents’ healthy growth and personality; strengthening the equality of education, forming harmonious and democratic atmosphere and excellent tradition within the family.
