Family Change In The Process Of Rural Modernization

Since the end of 1970's, the politics, economy and culture of Chinese society have had a rapid change, especially the Chinese countryside. People pay more attention on it,and the huge changes must cause transformations on various aspects of Chinese countryside family. This article subject on the research of family transforms in Jin Yuan village of Ji'an County in Jiang xi Province with some sociological investigation methods such as the observation and interview and so on. This article is divided into five parts: The first chapter puts forwards to the question, introduce the research results on modernization and the family of predecessors, explain sociological methods, the modernization and the structure-function theory; Second chapter describe the history and vicissitude of Jin Yuan village as well as the change of relation, structure, function and life way of family in this village. The third chapter focuses on the family interior mechanism, the economic mechanism, the political system and the social culture to explain why family of this village transforms. The fourth chapter proposed problems and insufficiency in the family of Jin Yuan village; Fifth chapter further discusses the relations of family transformation and modernization, finally it comes to the conclusion.
