Based On The High School Geography Textbooks Comparison Geographical Subject Core Literacy Training

Under the background of economic globalization, the successful realization of our country “The Two Centenary Goals", building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, ultimately we have to rely on high-quality personnel and high-quality education. Although our country in personnel training has made historic progress, there are also many issues such as common quality is not high, one-sided pursuit of intellectual development. In deeply under the dual pressures of the international and domestic development, must deepen the reform of the education teaching, the basic task of moral education carried out, according to the law of students growth and social needs of talent education. Thus, our country began to focus on the key link of education reform, studying and formulating the students’ developing core literacy system, and specific research work into the curriculum reform among the various disciplines.During the period of graduate studies, the author paid attention to the research of the core literacy of geography, and actively focused on the related literature. Through the analysis of the existing research, we found our domestic study of core literacy of geography started relatively late, thus, the relevant literature on the geography core literacy content and system construction is not rich, and the research frightful results have been popular for theoretical research and review. At the same time, also concerned textbooks as teaching activities, the most substantial factors that can visualize the content of teaching, the development of characteristic structure, and directly reflect the concept of curriculum development and changes, thus, the textbooks have an important influence and role on the formation of students’ literacy. Then, the author boldly to combine theoretical research and textbook comparative study, between the high school geography series textbooks published by Hunan Education Press in natural geography, human geography and regional geography three compulsory modules and the Earth Science:Geology,the Environment and the Universe published by McGraw- Hill Company in USA,translated by Zhejiang Education Press. The purpose of comparative study is to learn the characteristic method and advanced experience from American high school geography textbooks in training students’ geography core literacy, and to provide constructive suggestions for our country to the teaching reform, especially in the writing of the new textbooks based on the core literacy of geography.On the basis of the research train of thought, this paper will be divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction part, mainly describes the research background, this thesis research purpose and research significance. Use form in order of time to tease out abroad about the core literacy and system construction of research development, the domestic research status are also according to the time sequence, using the form to tease out the main research results of geography core literacy, and ultimately determine the research content, research method and technical route, putting forward the innovation points.The second chapter is the study of theory part, mainly expounds the connotation, significance and research basis of geography core literacy.The third chapter is comparative study section, by comparing the general situation of the whole high school geography textbooks, curriculum idea, structure, pattern, writing sequence and the content(text system, image system, activity system, supplementary content) for clues, so that their similarities and different characteristics of geography core literacy training way are summarized in the four key elements as between two sets of textbooks.The fourth chapter is suggestion part, through comparative study, draw lessons from characteristics of textbooks of geography education in the United States use efficient methods of training students’ ability and literacy, for our country based on the core literacy of a new round of teaching reform, especially the new textbooks compilation work of suggestions are put forward.The fifth chapter is summary and outlook part: mainly summarized in this paper, we study the achievements and shortcomings, and analyze the reasons for the study of the future prospects and ideas.
