Dramatic changes have taken place in classroom teaching in the information technology era. Innovative ways of teaching, such as blended learning, flipped classroom, Micro-lecture classroom, BOYD(bring your own devices), maker space, are gradually applied in educational field and schools. In recent years, with the advent of Khan Academy, the flipped classroom has become a world-known term in education. The educational institutions and schools all over the world are attempting to experience the flipped classroom model. China is of no exception. In our country, the educational institutions and schools use the form of Micro-lecture instead of the flipped classroom. Especially in primary and middle schools, Micro-lecture classroom are widely applied. Teachers recombine the teaching materials and extract some video units of about 5-10 minutes long from complicated teaching content so as to be a new model for teaching in our country.During the process of implementation, some questions need be focused on. For example, what effects had achieved, what problems had happened and what is the attitude toward this teaching method of teachers and students and so on. Based on these questions, the research questions of this thesis are: the teachers and the students’ attitude toward the Micro-lecture classroom in English teaching of junior high school, the specific ways of implementation in English teaching of junior high school, the implementation effects and some existing problems in English teaching of junior high school.In order to know more about its current status of the implementation, the author has reviewed a lot of Chinese and foreign literature and researched some schools of a city. This investigation including five aspects: teachers and students’ basic information, how much they know about the teaching model, the implemented ways, the implemented effects and the implemented suggestions. The author chose 40 English teachers and 240 students in four junior high schools that are using the Micro-lecture classroom in English teaching as the research subjects, and investigated them by questionnaires. What’s more, the author also interviewed 5 English teachers and 8 students among them.Through the investigation, in general, the author found that most of teachers and students give a warm welcome to the Micro-lecture teaching model. During its specific implementation, based on the students’ learning actuality, teachers recombine teaching materials, prepare lessons, design learning guide, record micro videos and send these learning materials to students. And then teachers interact with students immediately so as to help students to solve some confusing questions. They still need explain or discuss some questions in class. While students should refer to the learning guide and download micro videos to learn independently after class. Meanwhile, they can discuss some difficult points with teachers and classmates in a certain platform. At the same time, its refined teaching content, flexible teaching ways,which improved students’ learning interest and learning effect. It is also good for improving the teaching effect of teachers. But there still exist some problems, such as, some of teachers know little about this teaching model, teachers have a negative attitude to prepare lessons, the quality of micro-video is not ideal, the weak possessiveness students have not a pretty learning effect and there is not corresponding assessment system.Therefore, according to these findings, the author put forward some suggestions: the related department should provide systematic training for teachers, schools should encourage teachers to have a further research and prepare lessons actively and reasonably, teachers and parents should strengthen supervision with their interaction, and the implemented regions had better establish a relevant assessment system as soon as possible.
