Since the reform of the new curriculum, the students’ ability of mathematics operation has been the important goal and requirement to complete the teaching task of junior high school mathematics. At the point of view of mathematics learning, as one of the most basic ability of mathematics, mathematical operation ability, but also one of the key factors that affect the results. It occupies an important position in the field of mathematics teaching. In addition, the grade seven is an important period for students to transition from primary school to middle school, and in this stage the students’knowledge structure and psychological structure are constantly changing. Therefore, to understand the characteristics and the influence factors of the students’ operational ability in this stage, it is advantageous to develop the students’ operational ability. The article investigates the level of mathematical operation ability of the students in this important grade stage, and the author has used the method of combining qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. This paper explores and analyzes the current situation of the students’mathematics operational capability, and the factors that result in this situation and how to improve the students’ability to provide reasonable suggestions and Countermeasures.In the process of the test of the students in grade seven, the author finds that the defects of the students’operational ability are mainly manifested as poor operation habits, did not develop good habits of calculation and estimation. Basic knowledge is not in place, there is a phenomenon of confusion. The practical application of knowledge ability, they are more on rote knowledge, lack of ability to grasp the flexible. According to the problems found in the survey, and questionnaires by the first teachers doing, this paper would explore the reasons for these problems as an important part of the study. On the basis of full reading of relevant academic and research results both at home and abroad, in this paper, the teaching methods, non-intelligence factors, the way of thinking in mathematics and basic abilities are the main factors that affect the students’ ability of mathematics operation in three aspects.After fully studying and discussing the characteristics and the influence factors of the seven grade students’mathematical operational ability, it is crucial to propose effective solutions to the existing problems and to be constructive. The research results of this paper integrate many related fields. At the same time, the paper is combined with my years of teaching experience in order to improve the seven grade students in the mathematical operation of the proposed targeted recommendations. Firstly, teachers should strengthen the teaching process to the students’ ability to develop, take a flexible, diverse and targeted teaching method. Secondly, teachers should face up to the students’ Non intelligence factors, focus on the cultivation of students’learning interest and help students set up good operational habits. Thirdly, teachers should pay attention to the cognitive structure of students’psychological change and follow changes in psychological development and teach students in accordance with their aptitude to grasp the different stages of Education. Finally, they should improve students’basic quality and ability, the level of computing power is closely related to the basic quality and ability of reasoning and analysis, etc.In the process of actual research, the article draws on the theories of some experts and scholars in the field of mathematics and education, and the research results and practical experience. At the same time, I have been integrated into the teaching experience and thinking of the author for many years. In order to comprehensively and accurately reflect the characteristics of the operational capability of grade seven students, and to explore its influence factors, from a new perspective to provide practical reference for the teaching of junior middle school teachers and students, so as to improve the students’ ability of mathematics.
