Study On The Environmental Psychology Demand In Design Of Ecological Community Public Space Environment

Community is an important place for modern people to live and to have a rest, people spend half of their life time in community, the quality of community environment design will affect the community residents’ living quality and their physical and psychological health directly. Eco-community is an important form of community and it’s also the future development directions of community construction. In terms of public space environment design, the existing eco-communities paid more attention to the design of the physical environment, such as the design of manmade green landscape, water-cycling system, clean energy system and so on. Although these designs conform to the design principle of ecological community, they cannot predict and react people’s psychological feelings in community environment. This always leads to the waste of resources because some very good designs are abandoned as they make people feel bad. Therefore, in the actual operation of ecological community environment design, residents’psychological feelings should be gave more attention. We use the community environmental satisfaction scale and mental feeling of the environment scale to collect data, the environmental satisfaction scale include 15 factors such as virescence, light, sound and so on, the mental feeling scale include 20 factors such as sense of belonging, sense of safety and so on. Through the questionnaire survey, we understand residents’satisfaction about the environment of eco-community public space and their psychological feelings about the environment, based on the results of data group-variance analysis, we put forward some suggestions about the eco-community public space environment design. According to the research results, residents living in eco-community feel general about the environment satisfaction and mental feeling of environment, in the aspect of environmental satisfaction, residents feel good about the interpersonal relationship, the convenience degree of transportation and the sound environment. Residents feel bad about the activity space for teenagers and the elderly, the rest-chair and the recreational facilities.In the aspect of environmental psychology feeling, residents feel general about the four dimensions such as comfort level.
