Left-behind children is a special group of minors which is accompanied by China’s rural labor transfer, and its core issue is education. The educational issue of left-behind children is not just a social problem, and to some extent, it will also hinder the rural development in the future. Only when the problem is solved, can we promote the healthy growth of left-behind children and lay the solid foundation for the long-term stability and harmony of the rural areas.This paper is based on the theme of the educational issue of left-behind children,borrowing theories from marginalization theory and application of system management theory. It starts from the real life situation of left-behind children in JX county, taking advantage of the literature research, questionnaire survey, interviews and other methods,and carries on the comprehensive analysis of the care situation, learning conditions,emotional situation and behavior disorders of the left-behind children and on this basis,sums up the main factors influencing the education of the left-behind children, and finally,puts forward rationalization proposals on how to improve the educational issue of the left-behind children.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction, which states the background and the significance of the study, an objective review on the study advancement both in China and abroad and the ways of thinking and research methods.In the second part,it expounds the relevant concept definition and theoretical basis about the left-behind children. On the one hand, the scope and the age of the left-behind children, and the status and the length of parents’ being out are defined; and on the other hand, the marginalization theory and application of system management theory are stated in order to provide necessary theoretical support for the writing.The third part focuses on the left-behind children in JX county and carries on the comprehensive analysis of the guarding situation, learning conditions, emotional situation and behavior disorders of the left-behind children on the basis of questionnaires and caseinterviews. In addition, the left-behind children are compared with the non left-behind children and gains some conclusions.The fourth part expounds the media factors, family education, school education, social education and self education in order to explore the influencing factors of the left-behind children education.In the fifth part, Tongzhuang School of the Left-behind Children is analyzed as an example, and on this basis, rational proposals on how to improve the present educational situation of the rural left-behind children are proposed from seven aspects, such as the policy recommendations, the promotion of the development of county economy, family education, school education, supports at the village level, care action from the government and non-governmental organizations and the left-behind children themselves.
