An Empirical Analysis On The Employment Direction Of The Graduates Of Information Management And Information System

In the information age, the demand of the information technology talents grows very fast. It could be expected that the employment of the graduates of information management and information system would be quite considerable. However, the actual employment is in low quality nowadays. Based on the employment situation, it is necessary to investigate and analyze the employment direction of the graduates. In this thesis, the employment of information subject is studied and a deeper understanding could be obtained, which would be helpful to improving the employment situation.Take the 26 batches of information subject graduates in Beijing Forestry University as an empirical study. First, the initial employment situation of graduates was collected according to the statistics of dispatch data, the initial employment characteristics were also summarized such as high employment rate, a craze of high-level education and so on. Then the questionnaire about investigating the present employment situation and career development of information subject graduates was issued and 251 valid questionnaires were recycled. After the statistics of valid data, the present employment situation of graduates was analyzed. And then achieving the factors which could affect the employment of information subject by factor analysis, the six main factors were respectively discussed about career planning, practical experience, employment situation, comprehensive quality, vocational orientation and gender differences. Additionally, on the basis of questionnaires, the career development was sorted out and the professional development of information subject was mapped. It is helpful for the students of information subject to recognize the available employment fields and career directions. Finally, the strategies and suggestions for the employment optimization were proposed, which could promote the information subject students adapt to the needs of modern society and provide a reference for their employment choices and career development.
