Visual communication design is kind of multiple discipline, which is not only closely connected with aesthetics, science, but also connected with economics. Under the background of the current visual culture, interpretation and using of visual sign has become the essential ability of reading pictures generation. Learning visual communication at the basic education stage is helpful to understand and create images and videos information, at the same time, it’s also benefit for students’innovative awareness, and make progress of critical aesthetic literacy. As the future citizens, improve of the understanding of design value and the design of identity is help with developing of designing and creative industry healthy, which have positive practical significance.This study based on developments in the field of visual communication design, trying to look for suitable course content for middle school students’ physical and mental development, developed a school of visual communication design curriculums, which guided by the constructivism teaching theory to do art teaching practice research. The author used to recent researches of the middle school visual communication design curriculums from China and foreign countries, which helped to know about basic research status, and combed some methods, through comparative Analysis form modern and legacy edition courses, different edition textbooks, find out the problems existed, such as pay too much attention to teach skills and ignored critical visual literacy training, ect.To solve the found out problems, the author integrates the content of the visual communication design, the development of three units courses, first of all, with the integration of project has developed "the charm of Hangzhou, passion Asian games" session; second, to summarize the methods development in the cultural development and make the course of "books design trip";third, based on the integration of the big issues " less is more, creative environmental protection packaging design" course. In addition, the author also present the way of pre-service teachers of arts workshop, improve teachers awareness of arts curriculum and teaching of visual communication of the cognitive method, and organized the implementation of the pre-service teachers of fine arts workshops with the theme of book design art education.
