Tennis is a highly professional, international and commercial sport which is long-term exclusive dominated in international sport events by Europe and America countries for a long time. Tennis has a one hundred years of history in China. Especially from that, Li Ting and Sun Tiantian won the first Olympic tennis champion at the 2004 Athens Olympics to that Li Na who won two Grand Slams retired at September 2014, Chinese tennis went through a golden decade and completed the great feat of winning Olympic champion and Grand Slam. Subsequently, as Zheng Jie, Peng Shuai and other older players are already at the edge of retirement, and Zhang Shuai, Zheng Xai, and Wang Qiang who are no longer young are unable to take over the baton from the hands of their predecessors, Chinese tennis is caught in the throes of period.American has been being an active member in the World Tennis and a leading position from the beginning of the last century and is rich in Grand Slam champions. Under certain institutional policies, economic support and the unique traditional culture, the United States has formed a mature reserve personnel selection mechanism, a fully equipped training system, a superb team of coaches and a mature operating system events. US tennis players training system is an important reference to the training of tennis players, especially to the culture of sport spirits.Based on the visits of Sino-US junior tennis program and the interviews with the relevant people in the industry, this thesis analyzed and compared training system of young tennis players between the US and China using literature data, expert interviews, logical analysis and comparative analysis method. This study suggests that:(1) The America tennis development in hardware facilities, mass base, management system, the member development, coaches, training and recruiting volunteers has quite mature, is worth us studying.(2) In recent years, our government and social investment in tennis increased significantly, especially the rapid development of women’s athletic tennis has played a huge role in promoting the tennis development of China. However, the investments for young tennis players are not far enough.(3) For the background of training system, this study believes that there are different institutional mechanisms, such as profound political, economic and cultural origins.
