This dissertation has evaluated the development of pupils’physical quality who received the program of Beijing Sport University participating in the developmental work of characteristic sports in primary school (BSUICSP). The values and meaning of this evaluation include the following aspects. First, it is good for promoting the program of BSUICSP working effectively. Second, it is good for improving the teaching level of physical education in Beijing. Third, it is beneficial to developing of children and adolescents physical quality. At last, it is beneficial to participating of sports colleges and universities in the developmental work of Characteristic sports in primary school.The purpose of this study is evaluating the effectiveness of physical quality development which BSUICSP had promoted by measuring the index of physical quality of pupils coming from five primary schools BSUICS has involved, which resting on analyzing the performance of the program BSUICS. It is Aiming at providing theoretical references for the developmental work of Characteristic sports in primary school; providing basis and references for subsequent evaluating; and providing an example for sports evaluating practice.By reviewing related literatures, exposing the context of the program of BSUICS; establishing evaluating index system of pupils’physical quality; and determining evaluating strategies. By interviewing method, finding comparability between the five primary schools BSUICS has involved and other similar primary schools that BSUICS has not involved; and asking for information of the coverage and quality of BSUICS. By using nonequivalent control groups, exposing the effectiveness of enhancing pupils’physical quality. By measuring indexes of pupils’physical quality, gathering the data of physical quality. And check the data of indexes by Microsoft Excel.The conclusions of this dissertation include the following points. First, the mission of BSUICS is strengthening physical education and extracurricular exercise whereby to promote physical and mental health of young people. According to this mission, the study makes a basic assumption that if the program of BSUICS is valid, the quality and quantity of program performance is enough, then the program of BSUICS would enhancing pupils’physical quality compare to the original models of physical education in the five primary schools BSUICS has involved. Second, the main work of BSUICS during 2014 and 2015 is constructing of school-based sports curriculum, and characteristic gymnastics and track & field is the main school-based sports curriculum that constructed. And the contents of characteristic gymnastics and track & field which screened and elected by expert team are reasonable and valid. Third, the coverage of characteristic gymnastics and track & field is enough wide, the contents of this two main curriculums had done enough, faculty force of two main curriculums is enough strong and teaching quality had basically reached the standard. Therefore, the quality of BSUICS performance is enough. Fourth, the school-based sports curriculum of BSUICS is basically constructed maturely, however, the content and coverage of extracurricular exercise had hardly constructed. Fifth, the program of BSUICS during 2014 and 2015 cannot enhance pupils’physical quality compare to the original models of physical education in the five primary schools BSUICS has involved. Sixth, only constructing school-based sports curriculum mainly is the reason why BSUICS cannot enhance pupils’physical quality compare to the original models of physical education in the five primary schools BSUICS has involved.
