At the micro level, it infringes on the junior high school student’s right to education, prevents them from learning basic knowledge of science and culture, harms their physical and mental health, easily leads to unlawful use of child labor, street children and juvenile delinquency and other social problems. In a sense, the children hidden dropout will bring their native families and future families as well as children their own survival and development immeasurable negative impact to worry about. At the macro level, the hidden dropout children just simply get a paper certificate, seriously deviates from the double basic tasks of our country’s compulsory education that improving citizens Foundation and supplying new labor force.Some scholars suggest that we can penetrate vocational education into middle school education, and the practice of vocational education should be advanced to alternate the secondary compulsory education in the countryside, so that those students unable to complete compulsory education for some reason can receive vocational education, in a word, vocational education in advance. I don’t agree on this issue and the further study on this issue will be found in this paper.At first, we studied the Middle School education is of great significance for citizens’ personal growth, clearly pinpoint the secondary compulsory education’s value on personal and social. The role of secondary compulsory education is the most important thing is to reserve basic knowledge for the survival and development of individual citizens, guarantee citizens personal physical and mental healthy growth, and improve the populace’s cultivation, implement the civic education, fills chassis talent lay. Secondary compulsory education is of great significance, should be given full attention. Then, synthesizing field research and literature review to analysis the causes and harm of hidden dropout junior high school phenomenon, I found directly associated with the phenomenon all of the dropout students, their parents and teachers go wrong, the three are causal. Students with learning disabilities lead to be less self-confidence and tired of learning; teachers are too utilitarian, both of their ideas of education and teaching methods lag behind, even use cold violence to students, leading to teacher-student relations in education conflictive; parents lack some educational method, dysfunctional parenting shaken students’determination to study. Under the combined effects of these factors, children of school age have been tired of study and teacher including family. Owing to worse society atmosphere and employment of child labor, leading to school-aged children initiative or forced invisible drop out prematurely into the society. There is no doubt that they serious lack of base knowledge and skill for further study, it is difficult to gain a foothold in society, they are in a weak position whether in interpersonal relationships, employment or marriage and so on, which could become a burden to family and society. Finally, there are many factors behind the middle school students’hidden dropout, such as improper family education, family poverty, learning disabilities, poor discipline, which make school teaching and management more difficult, but in the end, as a specialized and professional educational institution and educators, their educational responsibility is inescapable. From the educator Chen heqin’s view, there are no weak students but only unqualified teachers. In any case Schools and teachers shouldn’t give up students for private, even push them out of the campus, forcing them to hidden dropout. I think the governments and school ought to assume primary responsibility. So I put forward some recommendations on how to improve management system, management measures and family education in order to resolve hidden dropout in junior middle school dropout problem. |
