Secondary vocational education is an important task of training high-quality laborers and skilled talents with comprehensive vocational ability and working in production and service lines.In recent years,a series of policies on the development of vocational education vigorously supported and the secondary vocational education in the new “spring”.However,the challenges and opportunities coexisted.With the amplification,number of secondary vocational school students and quality generally being not high,a new education problem gradually emerged.There were many in the “name”,“people in heart”,and “in love”,“people in power” hidden dropout of secondary vocational students.The hidden dropout was not only related to the employment and development of individual students,but also related to the development of vocational education and even the national economy.We should pay more attention to the hidden dropout of secondary vocational students.Taking Tianshui N secondary vocational school students as the research object,the achievement motivation theory,Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and the theory of life course as gist and using the combination of quantitative and qualitative study of mixed research paradigm,this paper discussed the situation of the secondary vocational students' hidden dropout,the reason type and path analysis and put forward differentiation to eliminate the secondary vocational students' hidden dropout strategies.The results showed that:(1)more than 50% of secondary vocational school students in N schools had the behavior of hidden dropout,and the proportion of male students was higher than female students;In terms of grade,there was an increasing trend of hidden dropout with grade increase.At the level of parents' occupation,the more stable the parents' occupation was,the lower the probability of hidden dropout was.(2)the reasons for hidden dropout of secondary vocational school students could be classified into five aspects: “poor learning experience”,“bad companions”,“bad comprehensive school experience”,“bad family environment” and “social reality benefit”.(3)the occurrence path of “poor learning experience type” hidden dropout was that secondary vocational students chose hidden dropout due to unclear learning objectives,improper learning methods and low learning achievements;The occurrence of hidden dropout of “bad companions” was that secondary vocational students tended to hidden dropout under the direct and indirect negative influence of their peers.The occurrence of the “bad comprehensive school experience” hidden dropout behavior was due to the secondary vocational students unwilling to campus activities,school system and interpersonal relationship experience and deciding to hidden dropout;The hidden dropout behavior of “bad family environment” was caused by the bad family education and sudden changes of secondary vocational students.“Social reality benefit type” hidden school dropout was secondary vocational students out of the consideration of personal interests and family interests and decided to hidden dropout.(4)Based on the above research results,finally put forward the elimination strategies of hidden dropout of secondary vocational school students with student change,family participation,school reform,government coordination and social support.It also called on every secondary vocational education worker not only to strive to retain the hidden dropout of secondary vocational students' current happiness: to build a satisfactory campus life for students,but also to give a way to the future happiness: to continue to vigorously develop secondary vocational education.
