This paper takes the Menghan Town, which is in the Jinghong City of YunnanProvince, as a case to study the educational problems of hidden dropout students ofDai People. Based on the literature research of the Dai Nationality education, the Daisocial’s historical culture and the Dai Nationality students dropping out of school,from the perspective of pedagogy, the anthropology and the sociology, the paper takesthe whole village culture as a background, reveals how the national culture influencesthe Minority students receiving school education. This paper also elaborates how theeducation problems of hidden dropout students of Dai People be treated both by thelocal people and the outsiders and try to find a solution to the hidden dropoutproblems which are from family, school and village areas.The paper is composed of eight parts. In Part One, the reason and thesignificance of this research topic have been introduced, at the same time, theresearch on dropping out school students in China, the Dai culture, the description ofthe research on school students dropping—out and the theoretical basis of this paperhave also been displayed. In Part Two, the whole paper is divided into eight chapters.In the first chapter, the situation of the Menghan Town is displayed from geographyenvironments, living conditions, economy types and other aspects. In the secondchapter, the paper gives a description about the education problems of hidden dropoutstudents of Dai People in details. Through the descriptions above, the hidden dropouteducation problems are shown and the whole frameworks of the paper are clear. Inthe third chapter, the educational problems in the Menghan Town Junior MiddleSchool are revealed. With the education status and the existing problems in education,the paper have a interpretation in both the students`education and the Dai People’seducation. Then the paper tries to seek the reasons of students dropping out of school.In the following chapters, the hidden dropout education problems of the Dai People ofMenghan Town are probed from the standpoint of family, school and village, whichare also called economy type, religious culture and family culture. From theperspective of village culture, the local villages have different types of income andtheir living conditions appears rich and colorful, the unfair distribution may lead to some human psychological unbalance and thus cause crisis on relationships amongthe villages. From the standpoint of the school, different cultural views between theschool and the village have caused direct inflicts on students`education and make atransmission at urgent. From the standpoint of the family, the concern from theparents, the philosophy of the education from the parents and the favorable livingcondition from the natural environment etc. Also contribute to the school educationproblems. In short, the combination from the school, family and the village plays animportant role in the growth of the junior middle school students. Without the jointstrength, the hidden dropout education problems cannot be solved thoroughly. Theseventh chapter concerns about the suggestions and countermeasures, in which thesolutions are expounded and devoted to generating function to students healthygrowing. The last chapter is the conclusion part.
