Driven by the popularization of nine-year compulsory education and the policy of "Prevent dropout and ensure compulsory education",my country's compulsory education has made great progress, and the problem of obvious dropouts has been effectively solved. The completion of the poverty alleviation task in 2020 marks that my country's absolute poverty problem has been eliminated. The economic and social development in poor areas has achieved certain development. The current focus of poverty reduction has also shifted from solving absolute poverty to solving relative poverty, which is relative to absolute poverty. In other words, relative poverty is more chronic and complex. To give full play to the role of education in blocking inter-generational poverty,it is necessary to promote the continuous development of local education, especially the local junior high school education. With the continuous increase of the state' s investment in education in relatively poor ethnic areas and the inclination of some supportive policies, most schools have noticeably improved the conditions in many aspects such as hardware facilities, which have solved the problem of children' s schooling and further improved. The study conditions are improved, but the problem of hidden dropout of students in relatively poor ethnic areas has gradually emerged, especially in the junior high school education stage. In the survey,it was found that the school actually has the problem of hidden dropout of students.Students "cannot sit still, listen, and cannot learn" at school, give up learning subjectively.Although the students are in school, they are not focused on learning,in the state of waiting for graduation at school, this has also become a prominent problem restricting the development of junior high school education in relatively poor ethnic areas. The emergence of the recessive dropout problem deviates from the dual goals and tasks of my country's junior high school education stage, which is to cultivate citizens with basic scientific and cultural knowledge, and learning that can adapt to the basic principles and basic skills of modern production,as well as the use and management of basic tools. Therefore, the hidden dropout problem has restricted the overall development of the relatively poor ethnic areas and even the rapid development of my country's educational undertakings to a certain extent. This research takes Wagu Middle School in Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture,Yunnan Province, one of the "Three districts and Three prefectures" as the survey object, and uses questionnaires and interviews to gain insights into the reality of the hidden dropout problem. The survey found that the problem of hidden dropouts in junior high schools in relatively poor ethnic areas has gradually become prominent. This type of students is mainly manifested in academic self-abandonment,an eagerness to leave the school education field, unintentional learning and drifting away from the classroom. The emergence of hidden dropout problems has brought a certain negative impact on the individual students, the family and the overall education quality of the region.Although the implementation of policies such as popularizing nine-year compulsory education and "Prevent dropout and ensure compulsory education" has ensured the school-age children's enrollment, they have not fundamentally changed the disadvantaged position of students in relatively poor ethnic areas in education. The hidden dropout problem is the result of multiple factors. The fundamental reason is that school education is not compatible with the local economic and social development, and it is not based on the actual local conditions and the actual needs of students. This results in a certain degree of lag in the educational effect, and it is in reality. The educational goals and the urbanization-oriented teaching content conveyed in the teaching process ignore the differences and individual needs of students. In addition, ethnic culture courses have been neglected, and students lack the training of practical skills, which affects the enthusiasm of students in learning and makes students eventually enter the ranks of hidden dropouts. The absence of family education and personal factors will affect educational concepts and educational choices.Recessive dropout is a self-selection behavior of the subject. The lack of guidance and management of family education and the failure of individuals to establish correct ideals and beliefs will lead to the loss of learning goals. And eventually move towards recessive dropout. At the same time, the traditional agriculture-based production environment and simple labor-based labor methods restrict individual education choices, and the necessity of education is questioned. The language barriers in the ethnic traditional culture, the custom of early marriage and the concept of patriarchalism,as well as external undesirable incentives and the policy of "Prevent dropout and ensure compulsory education" have strengthened students' unhealthy learning behaviors and attitudes to a certain extent.Solving the problem of hidden dropouts should be based on the actual situation of local economic and social development, and deal with the relationship between school education and the development of local conditions under the unified requirements of the state,as well as the relationship between the long-term development of local education and current needs. Therefore,it is necessary to promote the integration of general education and vocational education at the junior high school stage;fully implement the three-level curriculum management system, focus on the countryside, and develop local courses and school-based courses based on local characteristics to meet the different needs of students. At the same time,it is necessary to build a diversified training goal and evaluation system, establish a people-oriented education philosophy, and take into account the employment and advancement of students;in addition,it is necessary to strengthen communication and exchanges between parents and children, and promote home-school cooperation to form educational synergy, and pay more attention to the existence of hidden dropouts.
