Since self-efficacy theory generated, after several years’ development, the theoretical framework become more and more perfect and widely can be learned. It gets a further research in the professional field, education field, management field and other areas. Although the self-efficacy has a lot of researches in the education field, the domestic and foreign literature about geography teaching efficacy is few. Geography is not as a separate discipline of "social science" course in foreign countries, the domestic research about middle school students’ geography self-efficacy is few. In recent years,several master’s thesis researches have been studying.The research participants in this research are Grade One students from the forth middle school in Yantai. Through literature methods, questionnaires and interviews, the author makes an analysis and discussion on Grade One students’ self-effency. The author hopes that through this study we can make a deep understanding for Grade One students’ self-efficacy in junior middle school and put forward some suggestions and countermeasures to improve Grade One students’ self-efficacy in junior middle school.The research is divided into five parts:Chapter One is an introduction to the thesis. It mainly introduces research background from international and domestic background, the significance of the research and the characteristics of Grade One students’ in geography study in junior middle school.Chapter Two is related concept and theoretical theory. It mainly introduces the concept of self-efficacy theory, the influencing factors of students’ self-efficacy, the significance of self-efficacy theory to students’ development, and attribution theory and motivation theory.Chapter Three is result and discussion. It mainly analyzes the results from questionnaires and interviews, the author uses the tables and graphical forms to cite the results and finds the source of Grade One students’ self-efficacy in junior middle schools and the influencing factors of Grade One students’ self-efficacy in junior middle school.Chapter four is suggestions. It mainly find some suggestion about Grade Onestudents’ self-efficacy in junior middle school through analyzing teachers’ and family’s aspects.Chapter five is conclusion and prospect. It mainly makes a summary of the research conclusion and make an explanation about the shortcomings in this research.
