Currently, the problem of basic education in rural areas is the weak link in China’s education system. The weakness is not only reflected in all aspects of the soft and hard conditions, but also reflected in the quality of education and teaching, social effects and other aspects. In order to improve the quality of education in rural areas, we must pay attention to rural teachers, especially the problems of adaptability for rural junior middle school teachers in the occupation activity.English as a weak and special subject in rural junior middle school, the quality of rural junior middle school English teachers is the key to its healthy and orderly development. However, large parts of English teachers in rural junior middle school are under way on adaptability problems when they are confronted with low education quality, the lack of professional teachers and low economic treatment and so on.Based on the integration of existing research, found that the research on rural teachers’ adaptability more focused on external environment field. And the research angles are not enough diversity, also not deep enough. With the practical education problem, this paper will put rural junior middle school English teachers as the research object, focus on the adaptability problems of English teachers in their occupational activities.With the narrative research method, we research on five teachers’life experience and work experience. Based on the previous research, the study has a new recognition of teachers’ occupation behavior and the adaptability problems of English teachers. Then make sure their influence on the quality of education and establish the research purpose of this paper. The next part is to explain the qualitative research methods, qualitative materials collection process and introduce the analysis methods of qualitative materials. Then give some grounds for life experience and career intention for narrative subjects. The body part of study is about qualitative materials reading. The conclusion of adaptability and inadaptability of teachers’occupation behavior is given by analyzing and summing up. Then find out the causes of above problems.Finally, give reasons for the research limitations and future research ideas.
