| China has entered the aging society, the proportion of the elderly population is increasing.The health crisis of the aging population are becoming ever more obvious.The health problem of the elderly has increasingly become the focus of social attention.The vast majority of the middle- aged and older people want to take part in physical exercise to enhance physical health and delay aging. Therefore the square dance has become China’s contemporary comparatively favorite fitness programs. Square dance has simple movements, various forms and a certain amount of exercise. Its easy to learn and to insist. The elderly participating square dance exercise not only can shape their graceful posture, enhance physical fitness, but also satisfy their spiritual needs to participate in collective activities. As the square dance prevalent all over the country, a deeper study of the square dance exercise has become a necessity. This research uses literature material method, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics method and comparative research method to compare the quality of life, happiness,psychological health of middle-aged and older people between who often take part in the square dance exercise and who do not often do exercise and to investigate and analyze the exercise dependence status of who often take part in the square dance exercises, try to reveal the fitness value of square dance at a deeper level, to explore the advantages and disadvantages to the elderly of participating in the square dance exercises. Help the elderly understand more comprehensively and correctly the square dance exercise worth. Provide the elderly reference for scientific exercise. It has a certain practical significance to promote the square dance in the development of nationwide fitness campaign. To help promote square dance movement in the country more smoothly.The main research conclusions are as follows.(1)Most of the people take part in square dance exercise aged 51-65. The amount of people aged 61-65 years old is ranked first; the amount of people aged 51-55 is ranked second, and people aged 56-60 years old is ranked the third; Most people has 3-4years sports life; The vast majority of square dance exercisers exercise 5-6 times a week, and each exercise time is controlled 1 to 2 hours. Means the vast majority of the middle-aged and old square dance exercisers follow the rules of movement, exercise scientific, reasonably and effectively.(2)Square dance exercise can improve the quality of life. The scores of each dimension of old people life quality who take part in square dance exercise are higher than people not take part in square dance exercise. Different ages, different gender,different duration of the exercise, exercise frequency and exercise time have different effects on the elderly life quality. Square dance exercise can effectively slow physical and psychological problems of the physical pain and reduce the adverse effect of social activities impact on the daily activities and improve the quality of life of old people.(3)Studies have shown that the square dance has a positive impact in the mental health of old people, and the effect on female is significantly better than male. The difference of mental health is not significant with age growing between people who take part in square dance exercise and who do not. Different age, different weeks exercise frequency and exercise time has different effect on mental health.(4)Studies have shown that the square dance exercisers’ happiness scores are higher than who do not exercise, square dance exercise can improve happiness level.And the effect is more significant towards male than female. People have the highest happiness level who has exercised more than9 to 10 years, and more than five times a week, each time up to 1 to 2 hours. Means that the longer the exercise duration can improve the middle-aged and older people’s levels of happiness within scientific exercise frequency and time.(5)Research shows that among the investigated people 33.79% of the square dance exercisers have withdrawal symptoms.Square dance exercisers have no obvious difference in sex and age in the detection rate of withdrawal symptoms. The withdrawal symptoms score is equal and above 53 points. Shows that the amount of square danceexercisers aged 56-60 years old is ranked first,and the reason may be associated with this part of the crowd just retired, they have to participate in a square dance exercise to alleviate symptoms of newly retired from work. The longer duration of the exercise, the more weekly exercise times, the longer exercise time, the more of the detection rate.( 6) Studies have shown that square dance exercisers’ understanding of the influence of air pollution and noise pollution is not enough, the inappropriate choice of condition will cause certain harm to the body health. |
