In recent years, with the development of China’s higher education and the continuous expansion of enrollment, a sharp increase in the number of college students, the employmentproblem of university students,especially poor female college students’,continuously emerging, causing widespread concern in the community, and has many research about this special group have shown up, but in the field of social work, the application research aimed at the promotion of poor female college students’ employment ability haven’t shown up. Helping poor female college students to enhance the employability is contribute to alleviate the poor female college student’s employment pressure and to get rid of the employment difficulties, this is significant to improve the future competitiveness of the China and to promote the development of harmonious society in China. In view of this, this paper will focus on the poor female college students’ employment problem,at the same time I will explore an effective way to help impoverished female undergraduates with the ascension of their employment ability, on the basis of the gender and economic poverty population characteristics,and on account of the social support theory and the group dynamics theory, etc.This study considered the group characteristics, the characteristics of the problem and the group resources; finally I decided to use the group work to improve the employment ability of the poor Female College students. Before the group activities officially launched, I used questionnaire survey to studied on the family status, learning practice, employment ability of the service objects, and I found the possibility and necessity of partial employment ability of service objects. I take this as the foundation, and take the employability of the service object as the ultimate goal, designed 9 group activities. At the end of the group activities, I uses <the satisfaction degree of service objects> of <assessment questionnaire and the employment ability Checklist > to test the service objects, as so to assess the situation of the project. in addition to the questionnaire survey and the scale measurement, I also uses the observation method and non structural interview and complete the tracking form to assess the process of the project in a timely manner. Finally the group activities for paly a role in promoting poor female college student’s employment ability, the group reached the is expected goal, but there are still problems which waiting for further improvement,I believe that this model ill play a greater role in the future.
