Frontier Of Cross-border Ethnic Groups In Yunnan Ethnic Identity And National Identity Integration Research

Ethnic identity and national identity are two kinds of identification in the objective existence of the multi-ethnic country members, they have important influence on social life and behavior. Ethnic identity is a kind of primordial cultural identity, the ethnic members of their own ethnic group’s identity, and national identity is a kind of building political identity, national citizens of the country produces a sense of belonging in their life, ethnic identity and national identity are interacted with each other. In multi-ethnic country, the purpose of identity integration is to coordinate the harmonious relationship between ethnic identity and national identity. National identity in the identity hierarchy in a higher position, in order to maintain and safeguard the stability of the multi-ethnic country’s unified. Yunnan is Chinese southwestern border of province, bordering on Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, has a 4060 kilometers border line, and in the 16 cities of Yunnan, there are 8 border cities, about 16 cross-border ethnic groups to live here, they are typical frontier cross-border ethnic areas. Because of the particular natural and humane geographical environment difference, life in the area of minority ethnic identity and national identity relations are more complex. Therefore, to deal with the region’s identity integration problems for the country’s border, national security and modernization play an important role in strategic significance and realistic significance.Identity integration is dynamic and development problem, with the development of the era, identity integration will appear because of the new social factors, interests and new changes. This article tried to analyze under the background of new era, Yunnan frontier cross-border ethnic areas of national identity and national identity integration status and factors affecting its identity integration, and puts forward some concrete Suggestions, to strengthen the national identity of cross-border ethnic integration, promote social stability of the frontier region of Yunnan.This article is divided into five parts, the first part expounds the selected topic significance and research method in this paper; the second part explains the related concepts involved meaning in this paper; the third part of this article analyzes identity integration status of Yunnan frontier cross-border ethnic areas from three areas; in the fourth part, the paper analyzes the causes of affecting the identity integration of the region. Finally, aiming at the above reasons, this article put forward to promote the integration of the region identification countermeasures and thinking.
