In order to understand the current situation of science education activities in middle school, this paper takes Xianan district’s and Caidian district’s middle schools and their students as the research objects, through the survey datas, and describes the current middle schools’ science education activities. And based on the present situation and the study about science education activities both at home and abroad, this paper analyzes the factors restricting scientific activities. Then based on the description and analysis, it provides practical advices in favor of improving the middle schools’ science education activities. This article mainly uses the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, respectively from the viewpoints of both students and schools investigated, and do some targeted interviews in investigation, toensure the scientific nature of the datas and results.This paper is divided into six parts. The first part introduces the research background, purpose, significance, research ideas and related concepts. The second part tells the study and analysis about the present situation of domestic and foreign science education activities, and find differences in scientific activities between home and abroad, found that the domestic science activity levels in recent years there being a big change, but still many aspects to be improved. The third part says the investigation of Xianan’s and Caidian’s middle schools’ students taking part in science education activities. Research mainly revolves around three indicators: participate in attitude and behavior, interpersonal environment, science resource conditions, then from learning habits, participation experience, participation motivation and satisfaction, attitudes, activity type preferences and interpersonal environment to analyze the results of the investigation. The fourth part from resources, activity planning and design, development and utilization of social resources, schools and teachers’ attitude and so on analyzes the investigation results of schools carrying out the science activities. Through the analysis of investigation, the fifth part finds many problems, such as junior middle school students lack of enthusiasm, lack of professional science teachers, ways to part in actives single, the role of the family not obvious, lack of funding and so on. And according to the analysis, this part puts forward some corresponding practical suggestions from the school, family and students, social. The sixth part is the summary, reflection and prospect.
