Quality education has become the theme of contemporary education development, with the continuous advance of the development of quality education and new curriculum, calligraphy education as an important part of quality education, August 2011 the Ministry of Education issued a document pointed out:calligraphy is the cultural treasure of the Chinese nation, is the precious wealth of human civilization, is an important part of basic education, primary school, it is necessary to design related courses and activities to carry out the education of calligraphy. Especially in January 2013, the Ministry of Education issued the "guidelines for calligraphy education in primary and secondary schools", and put forward specific teaching requirements. Indicates that the spring of calligraphy education has come. Although most provinces and cities in the area of primary school calligraphy education reform, but the real implementation of the calligraphy curriculum in primary and secondary schools still face many problems need us to seriously analyze and deal with. Therefore, in order to essentially vigorously promote quality education and improve students’ artistic accomplishment, popularization and Reform in the Haicang area school calligraphy education is imperative.The Haicang District, Xiamen City, calligraphy education as an example and analyzes the current situation of the launched a survey, and through a large number of collected data to reflect the current situation of the development of calligraphy education in local, and the existence of some prominent problems as discussed. In addition, the information will be collected were compared to summarize the development of calligraphy teaching in each school of the director, explore in schools with limited time, limited resources conditions to carry out knowledge of calligraphy education popularization activities of feasibility and validity, the proposed school calligraphy education and the healthy growth of the students and the school integrated management closely linked to basic function and social meaning of calligraphy education in fulfillment of a vow.
