Study On The Roles Of Family In The Cultivation Of Core Vulues Of Socialism Of College Students

Core Values of Socialism have been vigorously promoted and practiced in virtually all sectors and domains of Chinese society. All forces have been converged and directed by Core Values of Socialism characterized with cohesiveness, appeal and centripetalness into the great practice of "China Dream". Family, with its intrinsic and fundamental role in society, has been receiving increasing attention recent years. Family plays an irreplaceable part in advocacy of right values, pursuit of morality and truth, cultivation of sound psychology, development of harmonious interpersonal relationship for college students who are in a process of maturation. In addition, family is indispensable factor in sound growth of college students in terms of emotional, behavioral and material support.This thesis, based on the reality of both family and college student, explores from four respects, the role of family in cultivation of Core Values of Socialism of college students. In the first part, theoretical bases of the role played by family in the fostering of Core Values of Socialism of college students is explicated from the elaboration of theories concerning family and Marxism. Additionally, the necessity of family influence is highlighted by distortion of values among college students as well as problems cropping up in society. In the second part, thev role of family in formation of vulues of colledge students is illustrated via historic experience.Meanwhile, the five manifestations of the role of family as well as its realization routes have been discussed in terms of various levels of Core Values of Socialism in consideration of the status quo of college students. In the third part, systemic analysis has been made on both internal factors, such as family culture, generation gap, parental quality, cognitive competency and value orientation, as well as external factors, such as the degree of emphasis by society and nation, parental coordination and influence of social evolution. Last but not least, the realization routes of family role are proposed according to the principle of "seeking advantages and avoiding disadvantages". The measures to be taken include, among others, maneuvering of multi-joint forces, giving play to moral cultivation, setting up the stage by traditional culture, fostering study-oriented family, leading the way by social practice, conducting cooperation between family and college.
