Research On The Integration Of Courts In Physical Education Curriculum In Colleges

As two kinds od stylish sports, badminton and balloon volleyball are popular among college students because they are both entertaining and interesting. The athletic fields for badminton and balloon volleyball are important physical properties for the university to organize sports activities. Currently, the badminton and balloon volleyball have developed very well. Particularly, Nan Ning city has added the badminton and balloon volleyball into their PE courses. This paper is based on the samples of Nan Ning’s fields integration, aiming at discovering a more effective way to solve the problem caused by the shortage of athletic fields.This paper adopted the methods of field visit, questionnaire, delphi method and mathematical statistics to conduct a real-life research on eight universities in Nan Ning city where the badminton and balloon volleyball courses are required. It is concluded that the Guangxi Economic Management Cadre College and Guangxi Higher Learning Institute of Sports do a good job in integrating the athletic fields of badminton and balloon volleyball, which can greatly benefit the PE education and mass sports in Nan Ning. This study could provide some theoretical advice for universities nationwide to better utilize and integrate the athletic fields. It can also make contributions to the PE polices and athletics fields schedule by the government.After the researches and analyses to eight universities in Nan Ning, this paper get the following findings. First, the eight universities included all set up PE courses for badminton and balloon volleyball. There are two kinds of athletic fields for badminton and balloon volleyball:indoors and outdoors. In the teaching facilities for badminton, there is also fields for balloon volleyball. As for the teaching fields for balloon volleyball, there are four types of fields:exclusive balloon volleyball fields, balloon volleyball fields transformed from badminton fields, volleyball fields and badminton fields. Since the number of students who sign up for the college PE courses is relatively large, there are usually 20 to 40 students in the classes of badminton and balloon volleyball. However, for most balloon volleyball courses, there are only two fields available, which affected the teaching efficiency.In response to this situation, universities in Nan Ning have taken a series of steps to integrate the fields. The differences between the athletic fields of badminton and balloon volleyball are not very large. Therefore, only a few changes to the poles, nets and court line are needed. In order to do that, they could install an automatic pulley of pole to adjust the height of net freely. Also, they can adopt the dual net to fit for the balloon volleyball.
