Study On Tseng Kuofan’s Moral Education And Its Contemporary Value On Ideological And Political Education

Tseng Kuofan,was considered to be a fine model of the Chinese Traditional Moral Thought,which provides the moral treasure to the study of the Chinese Traditional Moral Thought.At present, the scholars study a lot on Tseng’s thoughts, but lack of analyzing both in the Tseng Kuofan’s moral thoughts and the ideological and political education, and exploring their research value on the contemporary ideological and political education,that is what the breakthrough lies.In addition to the introduction, the paper includes 3 parts.The first part mainly introduced the historical background and the theoretical origin of Tseng Kuofan’s moral education thoughts. Furthermore, analyzed the process of Tseng Kuofan’s moral education thoughts. In the second part, we elaborated the basic contents of Tseng Kuofan’s moral education thoughts.Tseng’s moral thoughts not only aimed to be educated but also useful, the main contents included the Eight Kinds of Virtues, Diligence, Thrifty, Unyielding Mind, Brilliance, Filial Piety, Honesty, Modesty, Mean ThoughtThe paper intended to show the moral methods, which included the awe, Integrity maintenance without supervision, self-reflection, model education and Practice Education etc.In the last part, we summarized the enlightenment of Tseng Kuofan’s moral education thoughts on the modern Ideological and Political Education, the aspects as the following, the emphasis of advocating the socialistic honor and disgrace concept, setting the educators as an example to educatees, cultivating the citizen moral self-cultivating, the effective methods and the great influence from the peer group and family.Thus making a contribution to the contemporary Ideological and Political Education.
