The 《general high school chemistry curriculum standard (Experiment)》 was published by the people’s Education Press in April 2003. Since then, the curriculum of new high school chemistry standard framework was formally formed in our country. The senior high school chemistry curriculum is composed of the compulsory course module and the elective course module. The students can select one or more of the 6 optional modules according to their needs.《Organic Chemistry Basis》 is open to the students who are interested in organic chemistry module.They will explore the basic knowledge or structure or properties of organic compounds, understand the basic study method of organic compounds.They also will realise the importance of organic compounds in human life and social economic development. However, students do not feel easy in their learning process.This study tries to clarify the students’ difficulties in learning organic chemistry through questionnaires, interviews, sound research and teaching experience. Then according to the result of investigation and consulting a lot of literature on the basis of the data, the author will summary and design effective teaching strategies.This paper mainly includes five parts:The first part is the introduction including the background of the topic, the significance and research methods.The second part is literature review including the definition and research of the learning difficulties, some research related to 《organic chemistry》, some learning difficulties research related to 《organic chemistry》, and the teaching strategy research of 《organic chemistry》The third part is the investigation and research on the learning difficulties of 《Organic Chemistry Basis》. Based on the questionnaire survey of 223 students in Mianyang High School, the general factors of the study of 《Organic Chemistry Basis》 were analyzed.The fourth part is a case learning difficulty study of 《Organic Chemistry Basis》 The author will analysis some specific difficulties of high school students in the study of 《Organic Chemistry Basis》by the interviews of some high school students and 1 students on the organic inference and synthesis of the topic of the study.The fifth section is the conclusion and Enlightenment of the study. The author makes a summary of the third and forth parts, and puts forward some teaching strategies to solve the difficult problem in the studying of 《Organic Chemistry Basis》 for students.
