The economic globalization has become an inevitable trend in modern world.Cultural globalization has followed the development of economy to present a multi-cultural pattern which is multiple and symbiosis,opposite and unified in the world. The pattern of multi-culture is an inevitable product of the development of the world economy, politics and culture, and it breaks the polarization of the politic and economy in the world, prompting the world towards multi polarization. That provides more living space for the development of some countries and regions. However, the digestion of some absolute values and the production of value relativism lead to a lot of confusion to people’s value judgment and choice.Cultural anxiety has become a real portrait of people’s cultural psychology in the multicultural life. Especially for high school students, they feel confused and helpless in the multicultural life because their mind and experience is immature and poor.More importantly, the lack of cultural confidence has led to their cultural adaptation problems which directly affect the formation of their correct cultural values and cultural attitude to life. The key to form good cultural adaptability is to help students cultivate cultural confidence.High school ideological and political course with its unique cultural attributes and cultural mission assume the task of cultivating students’ cultural confidence.The cultivation of cultural confidence is the key to help students to adapt well to the multicultural life. Its purpose is to help students fully understand the cultural development, to have a deep understanding and sympathy of its own cultural environment.They are able to influence and improve the culture environment.They can face the production and settlement of the problems of culture with a more rational thinking instead of simply cultural anxiety.Then they achieve the deep resonance and harmony for personal and cultural destiny. The meaning of cultural confidence is very rich.This is a nodus that the research based on the meaning of confidence tries to explain the connotation of cultural confidence. The ideological and political course cultivate students’cultural confidence with some unique advantages in discipline.But it also faces the multiple challenges from a multicultural environment. That is the focus of the study that how to avoid the risk of multicultural environment effectively in the actual teaching process and really foster the students’cultural confidence.There is a few of cultural confidence cultivation works.This study is on the basis of existing research through field observations, interviews, case studies and other research methods to illustrate the cultural adaption problems of high school students in multicultural life.Then point out that the lack of cultural confidence is the main reason.The ideological and political course in senior middle school is the main channel to cultivate student’s cultural confidence.This research tries to give some possible strategies for the ideological and political course to cultivate student’s cultural confidence,and hope that it is useful to the research of cultivation of cultural confidence.
