Research On The Application Of Group Work In The Growth Of Urban Floating Children

In recent years, as China’s economic and social development, floating children are becoming a group that can not be ignored in the city. Education, interpersonal communication, physical and mental health as well as social integration of floating children have attracted more and more attention from all social circles. At present, the social work practice and theoretical research of floating children is still little. I hope that through the study of floating children’s summer growth group in X community, explore the applicability of group work in the growth of urban floating children and put forward opinions and suggestions for the mode of group work intervention in floating children.The research methods used in this paper include action research and qualitative research. The research object of this paper is the summer growth group of floating children in the X community in July 2015. In this research,13 floating children,7 floating children’ parents and a director of neighborhood committee were investigated and investigated. Meanwhile,this study analyzed the group process records and the team staff meeting records,and then fully shows the preparation, implementation process and effect evaluation of the group. What’s more,this paper aims to analyze the shortcomings and advantages of the group, and seeks to propose some useful experience and advice for group work intervention in floating children.The conclusions drawn from the study are as follows:First, the intervention of group work is very necessary for the growth of the migrant children. Second,the group work has a certain applicability in floating children. The method of group work is suitable for the physical and mental development of children. Group work focuses on the needs of floating children and targeted to solve the problem of floating children. The content and form of the group work is professional, interesting and educational, which has strong applicability to children. Group work can effectively integrate resources to provide services for floating children. The effect of group work in the intervention process was significant. Third, the method of group work needs to be further improved and perfected. According to the research conclusion,the author aims to propose some useful suggestions to improve the group work,including further clarify the objectives of the group, to make the recruitment and structure of the team members more standardized, to make the design of group optimal, to establish an effective team assessment,to improve the professional level of social workers, to development case work and community work as a supplement. These measures are of great significance to promote the application and development of floating children’s group work.
